Step Two: Customizing

We apply the information collected in Step One, configuring the software and writing new code where needed to create a custom fit. We also customize the timeline and the size of the project itself to fit your budget - and to make sure your people don't become overwhelmed.

When we have a complete picture of your business and industry, IMA develops your customized plan so you know, step by step, how the transition will be accomplished. The plan is itself an important component of the transition -- by laying out each detail in each phase of the project, we create buy-in and reduce the fear and resistance that are often thought of as natural side effects of change.

When it's necessary, we import your data during this step as well. At IMA, we have years of experience with a wide variety of data types, as well as proprietary tools to help with both importing and cleaning up.

Data formats we will support include Oracle, D-Base, Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Sequel, Fox Pro and many others.

Your custom plan can include:

  • Linking legacy applications to any database, new or old
  • A phased approach to meet budgetary constraints and user issues
  • Custom code in Microsoft Access and Visual Basic -- macros, utilities or even entire applications
  • Custom report writing in GoldMine, Crystal Reports or Microsoft Access
